First-EverMazda CX-60 Crossover SUV Makes Its European Debut
The first of Mazda’s Large Product group models with greatly enhanced driving pleasure and outstanding environmental and safety performances
Mazda Motor Europe today debuted the First-Ever Mazda CX-60 Crossover SUV. The CX-60 is the first of Mazda’s Large Product group models with greatly enhanced driving pleasure as well as environmental and safety performance.
Four new SUV models from the Large Product grou pwill be introduced by Mazda globally before the end of 2023. With both the existing and additional new models, Mazda will have models to meet the varied needs of its customers in different markets around the world.
Offering outstanding environmental and safety performance, the First-Ever Mazda CX-60 is a two-row, mid-sized SUV with a focus on “driving entertainment” that allows the driver to enjoy not only the daily commute but also long-distance driving on the open roads. Mazda’s human-centric design philosophy means that the driver will enjoy every journey in the Mazda CX-60, no matter the distance.
Mazda also took on the challenge to further evolve their Kodo-Soul of Motion design to express toughness, while valuing harmony with nature -inspired by the Japanese concept of Ma –the calm and dignified beauty of empty space
The CX-60 revealed today is a European specification model equipped with e-Skyactiv PHEV. The powertrain is Mazda’s first plug-in hybrid system which uses a 2.5-litre petrol engine and an electric motor.
Mazda will begin production of the CX-60 at Hofu Plant No. 2 in Yamaguchi prefecture on March 11, 2022. The Japanese specification CX-60 will be announced in early April. Sales for the European market will commence in the Northern Summer.
The CX-60 will be gradually introduced globally including to the New Zealand market.
